Portfolio
Hey, I'm Ishaan Garg, a junior at Cypress Bay High School who loves building things that actually work. I've always been curious about how technology can be used to solve real problems, and that has pushed me to explore everything from web design to artificial intelligence.
I worked as a Software Engineer Intern at GRUBBRR, developing AI chatbots that automate backend restaurant operations for brands like BurgerFi, Burger King, and Taco Bell. I've also interned at AppTrack.ai and Ember Learning, where I worked on AI tutoring tools, educational platforms, and the redesign of the Florida DECA Network site. I also founded the Project Tech Foundation, a nonprofit that teaches coding and provides free tech help for underserved communities.
I code in JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Java, HTML/CSS, and Swift. I've built with React, Node.js, Next.js, Flask, and LangChain, and I use Git, MongoDB, Heroku, Vercel, GCP, Supabase, Firebase, and VS Code in my workflow.
I've been recognized as a DECA International Finalist, an AIME Qualifier, and a Top 100 National Finalist in the picoCTF Cybersecurity Competition.
Outside of work, I enjoy tennis, reading, and cooking, and I have a strange but fun hobby of tracking airplanes. I like staying curious, learning from people who think differently, and building things that make a real impact.
iOS app for tracking IOUs with friends and groups. Users can split expenses, manage balances, and settle up with ease. Designed with SwiftUI and backed by Supabase for real-time syncing.
Free AI-powered platform used by over 6,000 students across 32 countries to practice and improve DECA roleplays. Built smart roleplay generation, voice-based scoring, and interactive practice modes.
No More Very helps you write tighter, smarter sentences by replacing "very + adjective" with stronger words that carry the same meaning. Originally built for my 7th grade English teacher who banned "very" from essays, the tool has since gained over 226 upvotes and ranked #7 on Product Hunt.
An interactive simulation that shows how neural networks and genetic algorithms can teach cars to drive on their own. Built entirely with plain JavaScript, it simulates a group of AI cars learning to navigate a road and avoid obstacles over time.
One of my first open-sourced large scale projects, built as the ultimate discovery platform for Discord bots and servers using Node.js, Express, and MongoDB. It reached over 3500 active users and included contributions on Github from 12 developers. The project was discontinued in 2023.
